Nope, you have beaten me to this one. - thanks for the links and research..
The video over Kent is pretty stunning. Looks like he is a professional photographer who (now) does aerial work http://www.nextgen-images.co.uk/. Brave guy for taking a $5k HD video camera for a flight off the edge of a cliff
It would be fun to fly one of these in Christchurch, and link the video directly back to the local ATV repeater on 1.3GHz. Would need a steerable antenna + on board GPS + pointing processor, or a high power TX and omni-antenna along with video camera etc.
On an unrelated subject, I recently caught up with an mate from the UK (by email) who I haven't seen for 30 yrs. He worked for BBC Outside Broadcast for many years before they outsourced services. He was recently involved with a live advert. He had to get several professional live links up and running for a specific time/date. These included a couple of aircraft, several skydivers and several ground positions. They only had 3 weeks to get the whole job together - tech stuff, rehearsal sky dives - everything. It caused quite a bit of stress in the process see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uIUChm7fJjs
